Even the worst Arsenal period was better than anything afterwards. He played good attacking football with one touch and movement. None of that exists at Arsenal anymore

Not true. His worst season was still better than anything you have served in the last few years under Emery and Arteta. There was a clear patern attacking play. None of that exist anymore

No their wasn’t , we were getting easily beaten anywhere we went. We were getting thumped time and time again by the big 6. The only reason we were hanging around the top 6 is because teams such as your own hadn’t matured, the teams we use to beat for fun like a wolves or Leicester are a hell of a lot stronger now than even a few yrs ago. The PL is a lot stronger now. We were on a downward spiral under Wenger and he left his successors a dreadful squad and a complete mess. He spent 70 mill on xhaka and mustafi fgs!. Yeh we really miss the guy.

Come on man. There was one touch and movement all over the pitch even with some shte players you had. I don't see that coached under any manager you have afterwards. Yeah you got beaten but you still won against the bottom 10 clubs very easily.

Maybe I am bit too nostalgic about the Arsenal of Wenger as you know your club better than me.

Mate During that time we lost 8-2 to Utd, 6-1 , 6-0 to Chelsea , 5-1 to Liverpool, consistent batterings. As I said he wasted a fortune on average players , refused to invest on the defence. 10-2 on agg to Bayern Munich. We didn’t win a single away game in his last season , he had to go. He left the club in a deep situation and his successors inherited the worst squad out of the “big 6”. Articles like this do not help as whoever comes in with this squad is going to struggle, anyone with a brain knows that this is at least a 5 yr plan.

Deluded people like you don't help the situation. When Wenger left we had 2nd best home record... This was in Wengers worst season. Now we've created less chances than every single team bar Burnley. How can you blame Wenger when creating chances in a home game was never one of his issues

Something is just rotten at Arsenal and has been for well over a decade.

Maybe it was just the timing of the stadium move, finance having moved on and changed face since 2006, but how poorly managed has that transition been? Time and time again clubs performances on and off the pitch proved that we were fed lies. Leicester win the prem on a shoe string budget, look at what spurs, and any number of promoted sides achieve then look at Arsenal. How many Liverpool players could we have bought with the money spent on Pepe? Then spurs build a new stadium, performances remain steady, Chelsea and Liverpool look to expand and yet performances improve/ remain steady.

We do not operate in a vacuum! We were severely hampered by the stadium move yet other clubs seem immune to our problem. We spend more than other clubs yet look like we have one of the weakest squads in the league.

This is an ongoing problem so what ever you think of Arteta, it must be deeper. You would look to the owners naturally but who knows what their actual role is? But money is available, so who is making decisions on recruitment and direction?

Wenger was finished for years. But I agree on the fans having to focus on Kroenke. Instead they pour money into the club "cAuSe We SuPpOrT oUr TeAm ThRoUgH tHiCk AnD tHin." Smh.

No I’m using the last 6 or 7 yrs. you do not put any context in your reply’s, as I have said , teams that we used to comfortably beat at home have significantly improved their squads like a Leicester. Liverpool weren’t the team they are now. Spurs weren’t either. Teams around us have significantly strengthened and we were in a downfall. This wasn’t a one season thing was it, fans gave Wenger more of enough time to turn things around. He went and squandered 70 mill on mustafi and Xhaka!, we kept getting our dignity striped, teams were laughing at us fgs!. You’re delusional, this is a 5 yr plan for anyone manager that comes in. How was it viable for Wenger to stay, make your case go on, I’m listening. I think you’re in a minority though.

He will go dwn as our greatest ever manager no doubt but he lost the plot.

Wenger didn't keep us in top 4 though and he couldn't get us back in it either.

We are getting exactly what we deserve. Name another club who treated a club legend like that? It's Karma and all our rival fans know it. That distasteful era has left a stink at the club and removed the aura of confidence and expression that Wenger ingrained. Kroenke should have been your target in those final years where we didn't get strengthen yet yiu brought banners (embarrassing) and created aftv and have destroyed the clubs reputation and made us a laughing stock
