Bookies got this right ?

Latest Paddy Power odds:

Liverpool 8/11
Spurs 10/3

Appreciate Liverpool's home record in recent times and odds influenced by number of bets made, but better than 3/1 on a Spurs win in a one off game a bit high given both clubs current form and, as they keep telling everyone, Liverpool's injuries ?

Other interesting odds, which appear to be set on reputation:

Arsenal ( in woeful form ) 6/5
Southampton ( in brilliant form ) 11/5

Wolves ( not particularly bad form and at Home ) 4/1
Chelsea ( can be inconsistent and lost at Everton ) 8/13

Worth a punt ??

The odds are a bit high on Spurs winning to be fair. I guess they have factored in that Jose will be happy with a point and will likely set his team up that way.

I'll be piling in on Saints at those odds though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I wouldn’t. Think Arsenal will win if I’m honest. They have to win at some point and probably will get the result. Saints playing well, but they will eventually drop
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I look at Saints and I see a better side all departments over the pitch. I also see them in good form and I see Arsenal woefully out of form.

I think the odds are good value personally. Here's my combined Arsenal/Southampton XI

McCarthy
KWP Gabriel Vestergaard Bertrand
Ward Prowse Partey Romeu
Djenepo Aubameyang Ings
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They are a better side, but Arsenal will get results at their home at some point. Southampton are high odds for a reason because the likelihood of them winning at the Emirates is still low.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not having that! I make them favourites, their chance of winning is much higher than 'low'!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Edbo knowsThey've lost their 4 games ffswhat makes you confident they win this one Don.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What, so they are going to lose the rest of their games for the whole season then ?come on. Southampton are high odds and to right. I wouldn’t be shoving them in an Acca tonight personally. Wolves is a decent bet, but even they are not great without Jimenez. Way to hard to predict, but I bet Southampton don’t win
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Arsenal haven't been unlucky though, Don. They've got the stats of a relegation side. For example, 19th for chances created.

They're a poor side and Southampton are a good side.

Agree with this. I don't go along with this law of averages nonsense that Arsenal are 'due' a win.

If I was a betting man I would be putting my money on a Southampton win. Not saying it's impossible that Arsenal will win, but it is unlikely.

Why have you removed City from your list of clubs you support?

Yes come what may tomorrow, Spurs are still in a very strong position after a very difficult month.
