Unfortunately, all our defenders would be left in the starting blocks though.

They'd struggle with the high jump too.

Given the style of play big Sam is associated with, I’m sure he will have been encouraged by our vulnerability in the air

I hope so. I would rather he gets them to come out and play even if it means an aerial bombardment of our penalty area. Better that than he plays for a 0-0 and parks the bus for 90 minutes.

If Boly is back we should go with a back 3 of Boly, Coady and Kilman to get some height in there. Ait- Nouri and Semedo the wing backs, Neves and Dendoncker in the middle with Cutrone leading the line flanked by Neto and Traore.

Twitter rumours strongly linking us with Brazilian striker Wilian Jose, 29 year old from Real Sociedad. Loan with option to buy.
Been around a bit, plenty of experience, looks like he's worth a dozen or so goals a season in La Liga. Sounds worth a punt if they can get him on loan, age might be a factor though.

who knows if that has legs, but Jose and king in with cutrone out would be a decent window
