MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

Brighton are unbeaten in all 10 of their top-flight matches against Wolves, winning the first seven meetings and drawing the subsequent three.
Wolves' last victory against Brighton came in the Championship on New Year's Day in 2016, when a Connor Goldson own goal gave them the points at the Amex Stadium.
Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton could set an unwanted club record of 13 home league games without a victory.
The Seagulls won only one of their 17 Premier League home fixtures in 2020, beating Arsenal in June (D8, L8).
Albion have failed to win any of their 12 Premier League matches in January (D5, L7) - the only team with a worse record in a particular month is Hull City (16 winless matches in May).
They have never won a Premier League game with a 5.30pm kick-off, losing their first four and drawing the subsequent five.
Brighton have lost their opening league match of the calendar year just once in the previous 11 seasons, with that defeat coming at home to Wolves in 2016.
Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves could concede in 10 consecutive Premier League fixtures for the first time under Nuno Espirito Santo.
They could also suffer four successive away defeats in the top flight, a sequence they last recorded as part of a six-match streak in 2011.
Wolves have lost four of their six league games since striker Raul Jimenez was injured, only beating Chelsea during that time.
They are winless in their opening top-flight fixture of a calendar year in eight attempts, losing seven of them, since a 3-0 home victory versus Middlesbrough in 1981.
Adama Traore has failed to score or assist in his past 23 Premier League appearances.

For such a poor team with a tactically inept manager we seem to have been very lucky for the past 3 seasons
Championship league champions
7th in the premier league qualifying for Europe
7th in the premier league missing out on European football on goal difference only.

I think you two need to get a reality check. We are not Real Madrid and our manager is no Pep Guardiola. We are a small city in England that 90% of the world's population have never heard of.
As far as I'm concerned we are doing very nicely thank you very much.

We aren't a poor team and nor do we have an inept manager. I'm not sure why people feel the need to jump to extremes all the time when they here an opinion that doesn't conform with their own view.

It's worth noting that the expected goals stats (a stat based on the quality of chances a team creates) has us 15th in the table. 3 of the teams below us have played less games and two of those are within a goal, so it's fair to assume one or two of them will be above us when they have caught up on games.

This is why bringing in a striker who isn't known for creating his own chances, who hasn't been great the last few years; struggling to play more than half a team's games and has a volatile temperament isn't going to solve our problems. We need something different in midfield to make us more creative in possession. Otherwise, it will be the same problems with a different name who has potential to cause problems behind the scenes.

Wish I had a £1 for every time a negative person tries to excuse themselves by saying they are ‘realistic’ 🤣

As for your silly childish comments about me not liking you tam, I haven’t the faintest idea whether you are a decent guy or a complete rsole, and frankly I don’t care as I’m sure we’ll never meet. But I will admit to hating negativity and as you and cinci so rarely have anything positive to say, I will more often than not take a different view.

The start of the season Tam and I were considered negative. We would win a game and immediately it was see see were third, fifth, seventh etc etc ignoring the clear and obvious issues. Well it's a marathon not a sprint. We are currently poor and to pretend we are not isn't really helpful to anyone. You can guarantee Fosun are not shrugging their shoulders and reminiscing about last season.

Quite ridiculous to attribute any blame to Patricio for their first goal. He would have had to be stood in advance of the near post to cut the ball out, and no keeper would take that position...
--------------------------------------------------------------------

If you'd watched the game, you would have noticed that Patricio actually came for the ball, but their player got there first. Most of the blame must go to Ait-Nouri (as I stated previously), but Patricio seems very reluctant to come off his line at times. So yes, I do place some of the blame on him.

Remember what you posted earlier.. something like "all about opinions."

Oh wait, you're DJ Molineux, I forgot.

Everyone agrees that goalscoring is a problem for us. I'm not sure why me thinking that the root cause of the problem is the midfield and chance creation is negative and blaming an 18 year old striker isn't. Guess my opinion just wasn't favourable enough.
