Team News
Leeds United
Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips is suspended for one game after he received a fifth booking of the season during the defeat at Tottenham.

Seems like there's no truth in covid rumours going round TFFT !

MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

Leeds United have lost seven of their past nine league matches against Brighton. However, they did win the most recent league fixture, in the Championship in March 2017.
This is the first top-flight meeting since Leeds won at Elland Road in May 1982. Leeds have never lost at home against Brighton in the top flight, winning two games and drawing one.
Leeds United

Leeds opened 2021 with 3-0 defeats to Tottenham and Crawley Town. They have not lost their first three matches of a calendar year since 2014.
A third successive defeat would equal their longest run of losses under head coach Marcelo Bielsa.
However, Leeds could win three consecutive Premier League home games for the first time since 2001 under David O'Leary.
An eighth win of the season would equal Leeds' total number of victories from their last top-flight season in 2003-04.
They have conceded 33 goals in 17 league games this season - just two fewer than in 46 Championship fixtures last season.
There have been a league-high 63 goals scored in Premier League matches involving Leeds this season.
A seventh Premier League clean sheet for Illan Meslier would equal the record in a season for a goalkeeper before his 21st birthday, set by Joe Hart in 2007-08.
Patrick Bamford has scored in successive Premier League home games after going the opening six matches without a goal.
Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton are winless in nine Premier League games, the longest current run in the division (D5, L4). The club's top-flight record is 10 matches without a victory.
Their past four league wins have all come in away matches, most recently at Aston Villa on 21 November.
The Seagulls have 14 points after 18 games. They had at least 20 points after 19 fixtures in their three previous Premier League campaigns.
Albion are averaging 12.3 shots per game, their best return in the Premier League. However, just 28% have been on target, their lowest Premier League ratio.
Neal Maupay has scored in three of his four league appearances against Leeds, all for Brentford in the Championship.

There you have it, Brighton struggling to get a win and Leeds looking to get back to winning ways and that bloke Potter thinking we are rivals ... all adds up to a 2-0 Win with Bamford getting both (or possibly a Ben White Own Goal for a 3-0 Win )

Don't blame the pitch FFS, same for both teams. Just recognise we're S# ite

Jog on! Yes it’s same for both teams but if a team tries to play like we do then it’s much worse.

Neither team played well on it today. You could see players holding back from chasing balls because they probably feared injury.

The pitch is sheet and it’s terrible for our game.

Its been two league games since we smashed WBA 5-0. Radical changes are not needed.

That is what makes it so hard to fathom. We have gone from looking dangerous every time we attack, to now looking like we could not score in a month of Sundays

Actually my last prediction was Crawley to beat us at 14/1 easy money.

How did your bet go for us to miss out on the play offs last season?

I would bench Rodrigo and play Pablo from the start. Then get Harrison and Raphinha on their best wings. Get Ayling to RB and Dallas to LB. Play Cooper and whichever central defender is fit (or Struijk).

Let Klich off the leash a bit when Phillips is back.

Keep Bamford up front because we have little else - but for gods sake get the ball to him.

I liked the look of Tyler when he came on. One stupid pass but apart from that he looked lively and hungry.

A long rest now. Tuesday week?

Not distraught but a bit flat after that - a bit like the game really.

Agree with this analysis 100%!

If a player is injured, replace with a player whose first choice is that position when he plays. If a U23 is all there is then give him the opportunity to show if he can handle it. That’s how a club develops its youngsters.
