Quick straw poll.
Given the downward spiral in performance over many weeks culminating in a woeful capitulation last night and with no evidence it’s going to improve anytime soon is the retention of the PL Title now unachievable.?

I think if Liverpool were to win the league then they can only afford to drop 6-8 points in their final 19 games(this will mean they'd win the league with 83-85 points).
They have gone on such a run in the past,so they can't be discounted, but can anyone really see that happening. With the tough games coming up to the end of Feb and with their current form,it could be all over by then.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Whilst the results are worrying, the lack of goals is the most worrying. If we an;t score then we cant win. I can't see us scoring against Spurs so that's another game that we wont win.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All it takes is one fack up from them or one moment of genius which we're obviously capable of. Let's just see what happens.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course we'll see what happens but can you honestly see us beating Spurs given our current form?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know what you mean but you can just never tell, especially not in this season.

As soon as Gomez.was injured on England duty I feared the worse.
I hoped that in January the CB situation would be addressed, but Klopp made it quite clear yesterday evening that this would not be happening and it wasn't his decision.
Sadly it looks like the clubs hierarchy has decided it should rest on it's laurels. A poor decision in my view and one which could cost the club more money if we fail to make the top 4.

Was stupid to not replace Lovren in the summer, was annoyed at that decision and it couldn't really have gone much worse.

I agree. This season was always going to be a closer competition the previous seasons and I thought we'd lose more than we did last season and the season before. I just didn't think we would play this poorly for as many games as we have. We havent been great in the vast majority of our games, let alone the last 5.

Its just about gone for me. 7 points behind city if they win their game in hand. A city team that appear to have found their rhythm.
Anything less than 3 points at spurs in the next league game then yeah it will be over.

Liverpool are in a scrap for top four now. The Manchester clubs and Leicester are the leading lights in the title race now.

United and Leicester will fall away in my opinion.

Maybe, but we’re pretty good at flat track bullying now. And Leicester look more resilient than last year. Will depend on whether City’s level will get them pushing towards the high 80 points mark.

Leicester have Brendan so once the pressure is on they will start to stutter and I suspect the same with United.
All well and good being top mid way through but in March and April I see some slip ups.
God knows what's happened to us though.

I don’t think Brendan being manager has much impact on that, to be honest. There’ll be slip ups from all the teams. Just depends how many from City as to how close others will be to them.

Agreed, particularly Utd when the pressures of the EuroPaint Trophy start to build.
