I called him out on Saturday but its clear there is a good player in there, he just needs some confidence. I would go as far as to say he would have been performing much better under a manager like Wenger, who knew how to harness the talents of players like Pepe better than Emery and Arteta. I think in a team like Man City Pepe would have been one of their best players by now, I think he's that talented.
With the right setup and tactics I feel he could get going, but he needs to be playing with quick one touch passers like ESR not Willian, this would allow him to get the ball early enough to isolate defenders. Its clear he also plays better with a better fullback than Bellerin next to him.
Lets also remember he's still just 24, not every player is the finished article by 24 like Messi, the talent is there he just needs the manager to give him that confidence, whether Arteta is capable of getting the best out of him remains to be seen.
I say we get behind him and not write him off just yet! 💯

Yeah, that’s true, I don’t think any of us are claiming he’s a world beater or anything remotely close to £72m, but if he could actually maintain yesterday’s standard he would be an asset to us in a congested season.

Well its fine if you think that. But unless you have a crystal ball, there's no way of knowing how it would have turned out if he went to City. So we are all just speculating here, one thing thats a fact though, is that he has bags of talent, enough talent to succeed at a big club, whether he does or not is another question.

Today's game does not make Pepe any better, or any worse, than many have discussed. He does not look comfortable in the PL type of play. A lot of money was spent of this guy and he has, for the most part, failed to deliver. I wonder where the scouting experts who influenced his signing are hiding?
