So after Wednesdays favourable results perhaps not as much hinging on this one as expected a week or two back - hopefully that’ll make it a more entertaining game though as with a bit of a cushion we can afford to be a little more expansive in our football, Liverpool on the other hand really need a win, both for the points, and for pride.
Couple of little selection issues for Pep to consider - does he go for Laporte at LB who reads the game so well, or Zinchenko who’s probably a bit more mobile. I’ve watched Liverpool a fair bit lately, and although he’s been off target a few times, Salah has usually looked the most likely of their forwards so big call to make there.
Then further up do we play Jesus, or go without a forward, which when it’s worked this season it’s worked pretty emphatically! Jesus continues to blow hot and cold, but I don’t think we would of scored that first against Burnley without a striker on, a few times when playing that formation we miss the threat of having somebody in and around the edge of the six yard box.
Other than that I would think the team more or less picks itself at the moment. Sterling probably gets the nod over Mahrez, maybe without the crowd he’ll finally do the business at Anfield, but I’d go for...
Foden Jesus Mahrez
Gundogan Fernandinho Bernardo
Zinchenko Dias Stones Cancelo
Ederson

Surely he'll go with 4 across the back against TAA and Robertson.

Oh, I think Pool will win. Even without the three or four missing players.
