No I was astounded when he basically said Bale is now winding down his career. That because he's won everything there is to win he doesn't have to prove a s*** to anyone.

FFS he's only 31? Ibra is nearly 40, Ronaldo is nearing that too. They are still smashing it. Bale is on loan from Real Madrid now playing in the best League in the world. He is not and absolutely should not be contemplating picking up his pensions yet??!!

Think while he is enjoying playing, and it is clear that he is enjoying playing here, which he didn't at Madrid, then Bale won't look to retire yet.

Maybe his agent was talking about the time when Bale was unhappy at Madrid.

No sadly he was talking about the situation at Spurs when he wasn't starting games or coming on and looking out of sorts.

Hopefully we take the option to extend Bales loan next season, spend all this time getting his fitness up and getting him through jiggly injuries to only enjoy him for a couple of months would be ridiculous.

Good point. Hope his agent appreciate the time and effort Spurs have put in to get nurture Bale back to his good self and in return, they extend his loan with us.
Loan that is remarkably looking a good move, and with his form, he could be the reason we get a trophy.

Bale could play on for a few more years, especially if he modifies his game as he ages, think Giggs at Man Utd. Bale is a quality footballer and if he is managed correctly he could contribute for many more years.
