Lambert Bust Up With Ipswich

Apparently Paul Lambert has had "significant differences of opinion as to the order of immediate priorities" with the owner of Ipswich Town and they "agreed it was best for us to part company."

Used to think he was a good manager, did a fantastic job at Norwich, but that was several years ago. Did a decent job at Aston Villa given the underinvestment by the owner, but nothing much to speak of in the last 5 or 6 years.

For that reason, sorry Paul but no thanks.

I think Rangers are already performing at their peak.

The idea of further ramping up the gears I believe is getting a fair bit too carried away. It's like seeking perfection and that's just not going to happen imo.

This x10.

Rangers are having their best season in 10 years, and not just that, their defensive record is incredible as is there consistency.

But what goes up must come down.

It'll only get worse for youze cvnts.

You could start next season with Scott Brown on the pitch

Now Morelos and others have shown their levels, their respective values should have risen.

There's sure to be a few suitors from richer clubs and leagues looking for recruits in the summer.

Let's see how players like: Morelos, Barasic, Aribo, Kent and Jack manage to keep focused when offers land. I expect a few.

No doubt Gers fans will want to keep their star men. Can SG convince his board?

It's no secret Rangers wouldn't be there without these players.

Others commented already Gers are riding the Crest of a wave and a fall may be past due.

What happens if Rangers can't please all their stars in the summer? who can they afford to sell? And will they be able to replicate this form to the end and into next season? I don't think this season's consistency can be repeated. Not if a few changes are forced by sales.

Conversely - Celtic will have a whole new management team and there will be a mahoosive clear out of the current squad so youse will be starting from scratch.

Martinez wouldn't worry me as Celtic manager, his teams at Everton and Wigan were so defensively open.

I'm not sure how that has translated to Belgium but he's got some of the world's best defenders there. He could come to Celtic and see how he gets on with some of the worst.

Shame. Liked him.
Good on the telly and a tremendous footballer.

One of the trailblazers in taking footballers into tv. Who knew it would lead to us suffering clowns like Charlie Nic and Robbie Savage
