Happy St. David's day

To Diafol and Babyen and any other Welsh posters on here.

I've always loved Wales especially Ynys Mon where I spent my childhood holidays.

Red that was ill mannered. But you can get ill mannered people in every country. By and large I find people are nice and helpful. Less so if there is a gang maybe, but if you meet then on their own they seem pretty decent.

Yeah agreed you can get I’ll mannered people anywhere, I dare say in some of the areas you’ve mentioned if they heavily rely on tourists they maybe different, Machynlleth isn’t that reliant on tourism so i shouldn’t be that surprised but I expected more from Bala in the couple of times I’ve stopped.

Red666 I wasn't there so they could well have been rude. Most aren't I'd hope. The thing is though that it's very natural to 'code switch' for us Welsh speakers. If they switched to Welsh perhaps they didn't want a stranger eavesdropping on their conversation?

Perhaps so mate, it doesn’t excuse the fact she asked the wife what she wanted then went back to her conversation and made her wait again! If she wanted to finish it off instead of asking the wife want she wanted, she could of just said I’ll be with you in a minute.

It’s all down to personal experiences and opinions MUS52 has met a lot of good nice people, I guess we’ve just been unlucky with the people we’ve met and you seem like a good bloke for a Welshman.😜👍

Red that is very rude indeed.

Why did your wife interrupt the convo?

London boy here having recently moved to Cardiff.

Love Cardiff, great city and the Welsh have been really welcoming and lovely. That said, I wouldn't wear my England rugby top in some pubs!

Or my Spurs top for that matter, there seems to be so many Arsenal fans in Cardiff

That was a great day!

Red666 - That's probably just rudeness then. No need for it. I assure you most people here are welcoming (which is true for the rest of the world too). It's very rarely I've encountered bad feeling outside Wales.
