If we were being linked with a 20 year old homegrown player who was the best midfielder in the championship everyone would say it's great business but because skipp is an academy player people remain awfully pessimistic

Not me. I'm impressed that he's been doing so well and would be happy to see him given a chance with us next season. Whether he will go on to be a top top player with us is another matter but he can't be any worse than Sissoko or Winks at the moment. Mourinho has spoken about how good he is already, hasn't he?

After 1 season as a regular in the premier league with us, you will be slating him like you do Winks now.

No. We paid something in the order of GBP 25m for him. Though there is a buy-back clause of which people on here seem to claim to know the full details of, and merely speculate that it is applicable from this summer, when it is not.

Not me. I'm impressed that he's been doing so well and would be happy to see him given a chance with us next season. No. We paid something in the order of GBP 25m for him. Though there is a buy-back clause of which people on here seem to claim to know the full details of, and merely speculate that it is applicable from this summer, when it is not.

Most reports indicate they can buy back for £15m more (about £42m) either this or next summer.

The good thing is that Madrid are a bit skint and need a pretty decent rebuild. This will inevitably centre on a marque signing like MBappe so hopefully they'll burn their cash on that and not prioritise a returning Reguillon.

Strikes me that next season, Norwich will need a DM to replace Skipp and we will have Sisokko surplus to requirements.....looks like a very convenient deal to be done - hell they can have him for free.

Add in to that mix that we are apparently "in discussions" on Max Aarons and the clubs really are forming a mutually agreeable "special relationship" I'm sure Doherty would fit in well there

This will be a great move for us, frees up the HG too

This needs to be the model going forward.

It's what let our previous manager down by not utilising the loan market.

Harvey White back out next year along with Alfie Devine and Dane Scarlett.
