Game Day!

It's been a tough season at times. Tough to watch, tough to get excited about.

However, i must admit that i have looked forward to games this season, excited about them. In the last few months that excitement has not been reward but i think that with the talent in the team means we have real potential to entertain and be successful.

At last Jose seems to be trying to develop in an offensive way, ditching some of the mediocre players who put a handbrake on a more attacking style.

I hope this continues. My excitement is often extinguished when i see a line-up with Sisokko or Doherty in it. Even Winks underwhelms massively.

Must win game tonight. No excuses. Fulham are a decent footballing side and have not let a goal in in 5 games or something, so it will not be a breeze. But we need to impose ourselves on the game and get back to teams fearing our strengths rather than feeling like we have weaknesses they can attack.

COYS!

My excitement has somewhat returned since the rise of Bale in the last couple of weeks. Mouth watering thinking about him, Son and Kane starting together and seeing more of what we saw against Burnley.

Thankfully we are not seeing much of Sissoko anymore. Jose seems to have dropped him indefinitely and maybe has realised that he is detriment to us as an attacking team.

Brilliant - that's where I get apprehensive when I see him selected

I have watched a lot of the team recently, and Bale is so much more at ease, and said it himself that he feels at home.
I have a feeling he's fitness coming back, will catapult him to start impacting the team in a positive way in getting points.
In the last game, the team defended as a unit and therefore CBs weren't exposed openly.
The team had a meeting right after the defeat against Spammers, and it looks to have had a positive impact in how we defend.
Plenty of reasons to be cheerful with the return of Bale, Reggie and soon Gio

Yes, I'm not sure why it has taken a cereal winner so long to sort this out, Mourinho still has that cautious, negative instinct against the better teams

Jose may have finally learned the lesson attack is the best form of defence.

Yep, my excitement has definitely been revived from Gareth Bale alone. Seeing him rip it the last few games has been one of the highlights this season so far. Long may it continue and let’s hope the players are playing better because of it

Awesome. I think Dele deserves a shot.

It has taken a young NDombele the best part of a season and a quarter to start to look like he has the fitness necessary to play CM. Watch him now and he goes until the end. He moves around the pitch well, whereas before he looked like he was dragging his arris everywhere.

I am not surprised that it has taken Bale so long to get into gear, given his injuries, his lack of game time and his mental approach to injuries (he seems quite cautious & very sensitive to any slight feeling of injury). Bit if a vicious circle - he needed to gain fitness and game time and we started to build this up, then he got injured and missed some weeks, so a couple steps back then he starts to build up again, but actually didint look that great, but then 1 good performance vs some part-timers in Europe and he starts to click. No doubt he'll hit top fitness and form and get injured
