how many times have you been shut out this season.
and some fools say its the defense.
worst league in years absolutely no entertainment value besides leeds and brighton. 3 crap games today and the weekend will be just as bad because leeds don't play till monday.
oh well guess ill pick up the dog p**p in the backyard now that its starting to thaw.

Seriously .... Liverpool played some of the best, most intense football for 2 seasons - it's normal that they can't keep it up. Just the mental fatigue from that type of intensity is difficult to keep up but Liverpool are physical, dynamic team missing their best player. Van Dijk's absence is more important than any 5 other players. People shouldn't be too hard.

VVD is a big miss...but not this big

Saw a comment yesterday during the game that amounted to - Put VvD in any of United, Spurs or Chelsea's team and they'd win the league. Granted it wasn't on here so don't know if any Pool fans on here agree.

I don't doubt that it'd massively improve all of these teams. But if you look at United, defence isn't our only problem. One of our main issues is that we can't score, and VvD doesn't fix that as an issue.

It's similar with Liverpool now. It's not like VvD being out has caused you to suddenly be unable to create chances & score. Most of the recent dropped points have been 1-0 or 2-0, City & Leicester aside. since Palace you've only scored 9 goals in 13 games in the league. Full backs and your front 3 are the most significant contributors to your goals, and aside from Salah (who hasn't hit the same heights as the last couple of years), they all been massively out of form.
