Liverpool were Trampled Under Foot tonight. It's a Heartbreaker, but Klopp says It's Nobody's Fault But Mane
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You copied my post word for word, Boris. As the formerly great but now sadly fallen Morrissey said, "don't plagiarise or take on loan"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually, serious question about Morrissey... can you separate art and the artist? I used to love The Smiths, but now he's a bona fide Britain First right wing union jack waving curnt I cant listen to them anymore. Disregard this and remember how he was? Not sure I can.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Most musicians are left wing. I doubt that stops right wingers listening to them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How's that relevant to my question?

Up there with Bowie and Dylan as a songwriter - He wrote the soundtrack to my youth.

As other's have said he's now become a right caant, he should open an account on here.

He’s a facking weirdo.

I’ve heard him described as a professional refusenik, which I think is about right. His positions are so inconsistent it’s ridiculous.

His British nationalism/ThErE DeStRoYiNg ArE ‘ErItAgE position is particularly funny given that a) he’s a republican who has said he would dismantle the monarchy with immediate effect, b) he’s also an anarchist who has said that he hates a host of British institutions, and c) he has chosen to live in LA for decades.

++

This made me chortle, if it was a serious comment about Morrissey.

Its a longish read, but this is a good piece on his post-Smiths persona. Unlike the author, even The Smiths catalogue is off limits for me

and d) he said the "blustering jingoism" during the 2012 Olympics evoked "the spirit of 1939 Germany"
