One of the most complete all rounders of all time? Please, he has a bang average ODI record.

2,919 runs at an average below 40. 3 hundreds and 21 fifties. 74 wickets at an average of 42 and an economy of over 6.

Name me better all rounders then? The likes of Imran, Kapil, Botham, Sobers etc bowling will all be impacted in this modern way of cricket. It is a batsman game and they would have all been hit to the stands more often.

Also doesn't scream mediocre. Stokes is a good batsman. He's smart. Not a world beater but most definitely been an asset to England during ODIs

I mean someone like Sehwag has more wickets than Stokes, at a better average and better economy. And obviously a far superior batting record.

Sehwag played 150 more ODI matches Ben Stokes ODI batting average is actually higher as well lol.

Can't really argue with Kallis as the GOAT all-rounder. The numbers in Tests are incredible.

If I was picking an all-time Test XI, Kallis and Sangakkara would be the first two players I'd pick.

Sehwag was a batsman, not a bowler or allrounder you dimwit.

Stokes' batting average of just under 40 is great and his bowling is good enough for what's usually the 6th option, because like Kash says most bowlers get taken to the cleaner in the modern era.

I wouldn't go as far as to call him one of the most complete all rounders in this format, but calling him mediocre is worse.
