Football/Pre Season

How good is it to have fans back at the football? Was lucky enough to get to the 3 games at Ibrox in the last week and enjoy a couple of beers, some sunshine and then watching the Rangers again.

Before this weekend I was a bit concerned that we looked quite a bit short. I thought we stuttered against Thistle & Tranmere and then although we drew with Arsenal they carved us open at times and we looked ring rusty. I think getting several of the first team players back amongst it this weekend has helped and I'm feeling much better about things.

I thought against Brighton we controlled it but lacked a bit of cutting edge in the last third. They never troubled us and we looked comfortable without ever really looking like scoring. Kelly was the main positive and he looks like he has a real chance. Not sure whether it's best to keep him this season where he would be a squad player or another loan where he plays 40 games and week in week out.

Tonight against Madrid was a brilliant night and we started with what looks most likely to be the team that starts against Malmo. We looked just about ready and should have won by more than 2-1, especially first half with some of the chances we missed. Main positive tonight was Sakala, he looks like he will be a fun watch and good for Itten to score again.

Another theme from the last few games is Glenn Kamara and the difference he makes. It's almost at the point where I want him to move on because he should be playing at a higher level. All that's left to debate is how much we will get for him when he does go and when. I still can't believe we got him for £50k.

The deal is 30% of any profit. So if he goes for £20 million then PSG get 30% of £11 million.

This suggests differently...

That site is using the Daily Record as its source. So make of that what you will.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

As you see - the Daily Record were not the only source as witnessed by this statement:

"Reports over the last 12 months have suggested Celtic would need to give 40% or 50% of any deal to the French giants after they signed Edouard for over £9m in 2018."

"However, according to the Daily Record, Parkhead chiefs need to give PSG 50% of any profit they make on the striker."

Another media outlet:

"GIVEMESPORT can reveal that Paris Saint-Germain inserted a substantial sell-on clause into his deal when moving to Celtic of around 50%. With that in mind, the Hoops are looking for around £20m if they were to sell. "

Having been brought in for a club-record £9m in the summer of 2018 after a successful one-year loan, the Scottish giants are seeking to make some sort of profit on the player, though will have to pay around half of it back to the French champions after a clause was inserted into the initial deal.

I know fans want the lower/higher sell-on % to be true when it suits the narrative/purpose.

Just a wee bit 'scarfy'.

You can't expect just to say "The deal is 30% of any profit" and not be challenged on it.
