BBC bias

OMG. Have just watched the women's 100m semi's and the BBC coverage was disgusting.

As is the same in football, they have their little poster boy and girl. On this occasion Dinah Asher Smith was, I assume, apparently the only British running in this competition according to the BBC.

Honestly the fuss made around what is a sprinter who basically was not good enough to make the final was ridiculous.

They got so tied up in that, it was an after thought regarding the poor girl who DID actually make it to the final. It was almost "oh, actually there was a British girl who qualified" paused for about 3 seconds, then back to Asher Smith.

I was just waiting for the "let's protect her mental health" comments to start coming out.

They even interviewed Asher Smith afterwards, who lost, but not the girl who did qualify. I bet her family and friend back home were thinking "why do the BBC not recognise our girl "

Bias in the media is awful. Fell really sorry for Daryll Neita and here family and friends, given the virtually zero coverage given to her for actually qualifying.

When I lived in Australia, India and Spain I had the good manners not to criticise those countries or the lovely people who lived there. I have visited over 60 countries in my life and respected their laws and traditions but not always agreed with their behaviour or political or religious regime. Britain obviously have been "guilty" of atrocities in the past and has tried to address the situation along with several other countrie
s but religious beliefs do not play a part in this any more. Yet there are still terrorists who perform horrendous acts in the name of their God. They must be so proud to live in a primitive society outside of a civilised world.

Thanks Ole.
Some people should travel a bit more, learn about other cultures and religions. I am an agnostic, not an atheist or racist. At Merchant Navy college my room-mate was Trinidadian. We were good mates. I was "Honky" or "White Trash". He was "Black B***ard" or "Golly". We went out for a drink together many times and racist comments were made both ways by bar staff and customers. We always stood together and would protect each other with our lives.
Killing another person on the basis of their colour, race or religion is unacceptable. No excuse!

Just watching the athletics on BBC 1

where is the ethnic diversity on the presenting panel ?

all 4 of them are black

explain this to me

I was under the impression 85%+ of the UK population is still white

I'm lost as to how people are so accepting of this
It's insane

Hi Peks. I watched the Olympic curling coverage and can confirm that all of the pundits and presenters were white. Can you explain this please?
