Son has liked a post taking a dig at Harry Kane not being bigger than the club.
Drama!

If Grealish 100m then Kane is a bargain at 150m
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree, but I can’t see us getting more than £150m for him. That sum of money will help us completely rebuild the team, especially if we can get rid of the rest of the dross for the best part of £60m.
It just feels like the right time if the money is right
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Could do what Livepool did with Coutinho but can we pull it off
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully.
Whatever though, we need a reset.

Just seen this...

It seems Carragher is in agreement. £150m at the very least.

The funny thing about all this is that City are officially declaring that Kane is worth more than they're willing to pay by valuing Grealish at the same price. For all his talent, Grealish sits way behind Kane even for assists and that's without the 30+ goals a season Kane provides. He's better at Grealish's job than Grealish is. One's 26 in a month, the other 28. Whichever way you look at it, both are at an age that will see value depreciate once they finish their next contracts. They're both injury prone.
If Grealish is worth £100m, Kane is easily £160m at least.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree possibly even worth 200 mill.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never even considered there was only a 2 year age gap.
In that case, even though i think Grealish is one of the best players in the league, he is overvalued at 100m. He hasn't done it year after year after year like Kane has and even last year he only made 26apps in the prem.
It should be Kane = £150m, Grealish = £75m. So as Grealish gone for 100, Kane should go for 200. I have s feeling Kane isn't going anywhere now - don't see City spending big on 2 players

Not how it works though is if.
I remember the season Barca brought Henry for £21m was the same season we paid £22for Darren Bent

That was still £21 too much, Sandra wouldn’t have even wanted a wage

Ha! Was meant to be £22m - but yes, £22 quid was still too much!

I remember a lot of our fans poo poo'd our links with Grealish a couple years ago, reported at that time a sum iro £25m. Small time, overrated, lacking ambition were many of the accusations.

New owners came in and Jacked the price up ( ) to £40m. That would have been over priced at that time.

Could of had him if it weren’t for your man Levy changing the goal posts at the last minute. Huge changer that and even you can’t defend this

It was Villa who changed the goal posts but Levy no doubt dragged out negotiations to get the best deal.
Shame. He was the sort of player we needed at that time, breaking the packed lines of defence we often faced. Having said that i think he is a bit overrated currently, certainly not a £100m player...that makes him one of the most expensive signings of all time and he aint that good.

Grealish is well overrated. OK player but worth £40 million tops.
