I think it’s embarrassing for Ronaldo if he joins City. He doesn’t need the money, and Utd and Ferguson were so instrumental in his career - why tarnish that at this stage by joining their local rivals? It doesn’t make sense to me, shows a lack of integrity.

probably just forgot which manchester team he played for.

Where are the 'Ronaldo has signed for City' mob now???

Ronaldo's (and even Messi) no longer the scary phenom although still very lethal. However, there's not going to be a RvP effect so this move should be fine for a lot of us. Hope I'm correct!

Definitely guilty of that Vegas r*pe if he goes to City.

How many more titles and CL do you think would have won if you didn't sell him, very shortsighted that from Fergie.

I think you might have had a couple more of each with him staying. Madrid did alright out of him though so not all bad.

Nothing wrong with Ronaldo joining City. He was always a bit like Suarez for Liverpool or Fabregas for us (Arsenal). They all gave their all for the club and obviously for themselves but saw the club as a stepping stone to a move away. To one degree or another while all three no doubt have admiration for United, Liverpool and Arsenal they always had one eye on the bigger prize and only ever a limited level of genuine loyalty beyond a contractual one.

*If this goes then ahead

No doubt Ronaldo be getting a massive wage but even better for him he'll be continuing to play at the very top level while doing so.

The only thing I would say is that I don't think it's a good signing for City. Yes Ronaldo is an incredible finisher but I just can't see him in his current style fitting City that well. Will certainly be interesting to see how things go
