What about Struijks mental health?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Elliott, saying what he did, will have gone a long way to helping Pascal deal with the accident.

Hopefully he can put it behind him and realise that type of injury can happen any time in any game.

Anyway - to lighten the mood - we’ve just been to Wetherby and bumped into Kalvin. What an awesome Lamborghini SUV he has. He then walked past us whilst we were having a coffee and smiled at my wife when she waved and I gave him the Leeds salute.

He looked knackered though. Maybe a hard day on the training pitch.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Murderball today.

It wasn't a very clever tackle at all as it gave absolutely no consideration to his trailing leg given the angle.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trailing leg my @rse, go and look at all the Liverpool tackles in this game and see how much consideration was given to the trailing leg. Liverpool fans are the only ones I've heard saying this was a deserved red card – neutrals, almost to a man, are describing this decision as laughable, as is the admirably honest Elliot.

Oh well, nevermind, hell be back in a couple of weeks.
Just a pitty Elliott wont.

It is a pity. I feel for him. He's show more class than most associated with Liverpool around the issue.

joke but was expected

maybe due to var?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think its been confirmed that VAR didn't get involved? Klopp did, though. Probably what swung it. That and the fact we are Leeds.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You know no one cares about Leeds don't you mate?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yes

It's interesting this Kammy because he is asking the FA to justify the decision they came to, to explain it. Why they felt that a perfectly fair challenge, albeit one that unfortunately left Elliott with a dislocated ankle, that the referee originally didn't think merited a booking, that the injured person didn't think was worthy of a red card and where the professionals commentating agreed with the injured party, merited a ban.
This degree of transparency would draw a line in the sand.
I would like the powers that be to be even more transparent and explain why Burnley virtually got away with murder and Fernandinho got away scot free having assaulted Rapha last season.
The disciplinary committee should have to explain their decisions both when they have acted and when they have done sweet FA.

When it happened and i saw the injury i was angry, when i saw the replay i felt it was a desperate tackle from behind which 99% of the time means you're going to take the player out from behind before you do the ball or at the very best same time. But its a tackle we see all the time and will continue to do so from everyteam our own included.

It was an unfortunate injury and i dont think leeds can have any complaints of the red for the game however the suspension should have been overturned. It wasnt malicious or anything and the suspension no longer benefits Liverpool anyway.

Tosh! It wasn’t from behind. It wasn’t desperate! Elliott wasn’t “taken out” - his leg simply got caught in an unnatural position, under Struijk’s trailing knee.

How can you says it’s a definite red card yet think the suspension should have been overturned?

I’ll have some of what you’re drinking please
