Martin Tyler and Sky...

...in general were an absolute disgrace today. Yes, fair enough, the Newcastle takeover is one of, if not the biggest story in English football at the moment, but the manner of the coverage and the way this Newcastle team which hasn’t won a single match all season were being lauded was beyond ludicrous.

The thing that really annoyed me beyond anything else, is that for all the righteous sanctimony Sky showed over the ESL, they seem to have absolutely no problem with unscrupulous and actually quite evil nation states buying out football clubs which are an integral part of the sporting heritage of the country. The hypocrisy of the whole broadcast was a difficult watch, and you had to feel for David Ginola who was uncomfortable throughout.

Ridiculous comment. So you are saying, because Sky are riddled with bias and agenda's, riddled with commercial sensationalism, and regularly have a political undertone, that we should all stop watching what is our national sport live on national tv, thereby leaving Sky ( the company more responsible for the utter money grabbing game we see now than anyone else) a free pass to present whatever agenda they want, without being challenged by anyone.
Mate, as far as I know we still live in a democratic country, and are fully entitled to voice opinions on what is blatantly wrong.
Why should I search around for some foreign link, and ignore my own country's football. Nah, should not need to.

Never paid for Sky never will. Thankfully most of the football I get where I am is free to air, but the Spurs match wasn’t on yesterday for some reason so had to stream it, unfortunately the stream I ended up with was a Sky one.

Not claiming to be a moral giant, but something about Sky just rubs me up the wrong way. As for streams, I only use them if I absolutely have to and I doubt I’m the first or last football fan to do so.

As for hypocrisies, well that would be most football fans.

Pretty sure no provider in the UK gives access to those channels, unless I watch on some crappy stream like a peasant which I’m not prepared to do.

Get yourself a decent Iptv service, plenty out there
