Massive game for Ole and the boys. Even if we lose it’s not terminal to our hopes of qualifying but it would be a huge setback with away games against our two biggest rivals to come in the group and our away form in the CL is pretty bad under Ole. Think we’ve lost our last 3 games.
This is the side I think we’ll go with. Atalanta play a 3-4-1-2 and score plenty of goals so I’d imagine to win the game we’re probably gonna need to score 3 goals ourselves (for those who like a flutter, and I’m talking to you Shinji - Atalanta and Liverpool both to score 2+ goals in their games against us is a 5/1 double).

Bit of a conundrum, played around with multiple formations/personnel and none of them look quite right!
Don't think you can exclude Ronaldo from a CL game.
Would like to see Rashford on the left and Sancho on the right.
However, I feel both Cavani and Jesse deserve a start.
One of Pogba/Bruno benched (at least one will be fresh for the Scousers).

For some reason I'm really looking forward to tonight. Saturday was a real low point for me so the only way is up. It'll be interesting to see how we react. I reckon we'll see an upturn in energy if nothing else. Just hope the quality will come too
For those who think Ronaldo shouldn't play every game in the PL we may well see that come to pass if we continue to struggle in the PL but progress in the CL. I'm sure Juve used to save him for some CL games sonwe may well do the same!

Especially as Ronaldo is CL all time scorer. He'll want to extend that lead at every opportunity.
