Brucie will always be the man who scored 'those two goals' that sent Fergie on his way.

Absolutely. I remember listening to the game on the radio and celebrated like a madman. Kids of today will never know the fun of listening to football on the radio. Dolly and Daisy, a great partnership for us, just a shame that Bruce never played for England.

I was sat on the front doorstep listening on my radio. It was a warm sunny day as I recall. Strangely I was the only kid on the street that liked football. The rest of the kids all laughed as I ran around the front garden when the winner flew in. Good times.

Wow. That's one hell of a strange street. How many houses on it and where is it?

The game is kicking off in around the park
It's twenty five a side and before it's dark
There's gonna be a loser
And you know the next goal wins
Sums up my childhood in relation to football.

Fist kids and girls?
No wonder you were kept apart from the other kids.

👏 1,000 games as a manager winning the play-offs twice with Birmingham City & Hull City as well as taking Hull to their first FA Cup final
👏 926 appearances as a player winning three Premier League titles, three FA Cups and a Second Division title
👏 Always carried himself with respect and overcame the loss of both his parents to stabilise Newcastle United on a limited budget
Steve Bruce, a legend of English football.
Not to mention his history and moments with United 👍
