Brazilian GP

Interlagos

A classic track which always throws up an exciting race! With that in mind the Red Bulls again *should* be favourites although Mercedes did find a way to manage their turbo a little bit better in Mexico which gives them a chance albeit small.

There’s also the sprint qualifying to contend which means we’re guaranteed a coming together

Max deserved a penalty fot Silverstone for crashing into Hamilton. There has never been a rule you have to take the racing line in a corner.

Also it was funny in same Brazil race Tsunoda got a penalty for taking the racing line but as a car didn’t give space there was a collision.

So basically FIA are saying to Hamilton is you have to get hit to get a penalty against Verstappen while they are saying to Verstappen is you can crash into any driver and the other guy will get a penalty for your mistake.

Lewis deserves to be now clear in the drivers championship really but crashtappen got lucky all season.

Sort of reminds of Rosberg in 2016, extremely good luck and unfair racing won him the championship.

The Red Bull car is much faster than the Mercedes this season. Its just Mercedes drivers are driving better thay has made it so close.

You can see from the onboards you don’t have to drive that well to go fast in the Red Bull. I reckon the Red Bull was as fast as the Mercedes in Brazil but the drivers were driving far worse. You could see from the onboards Hamilton was driving nearly nailed while Verstappen was driving all over the place and that was the main reason why Hamilton was gaining so much. If Hamilton started on pole he might have finished like 40 seconds ahead of Verstappen.

Okay I should have said Max barely steered and wasn’t planning on staying on the track. He only started putting a lot of steering after he was off the track.

What the main thing from this incident means is you are allowed to outbrake yourself and go wide and keep your position so now the person on inside knows they can make sure the other driver cannot overtake them.

Hamilton was easily going to make that corner if Verstappen car wasn’t there so now all I will see is drivers who are behind just outbrake them self on inside and go wide meaning person on outside can’t overtake.

Verstappen in with the stewards again for alledgedly ignoring double yellow flags in qualifying

At least we now know the F1 rule if you have stewards who know nothing about F1, you can make sure no driver can overtake you even if they are going 100mph faster than you as all you need to do is block them.

I would love it if next race Bottas at start outbrakes himself and goes 5-10 metres off the track and Verstappen can’t turn and has to follow Bottas off the track until he can get back on. That is fair racing nowadays. You can force drivers off the track on any corner so lets say Verstappen tries to overtake Hamilton but Verstappen is on outside all Hamilton has to do is release the brakes and make sure Verstappen can’t get back on the track ahead.

Also they now made the rules that you can keep your place even if overtaken if you just release the brakes and go wide so I won’t be surprised to see people who are getting overtaken but are on inside line just release the brakes and go completely wide making it impossible to overtake.

It was hilarious how stupid Horner sounded when he said you can overtake around the outside when Verstappen started a race and went from P3 to P1 on the start around the outside but he forgot to mention if Bottas did what Verstappen did then Verstappen would have had a DNF to his name.
