Premier Sports Cup semi-final

St Johnstone - who have yet to lose a cup game under Callum Davidson - are all that stands between Celtic and a spot in the first cup final of the season.

Celts are without Giorgos Giakoumakis who pulled up in training while Carl Starfelt and Tom Rogic couldn't find fitness in time following a period out of action.

Celtic starting XI: Hart, Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Juranovic, Bitton, Turnbull, McGregor, Abada, Jota, Kyogo

The game will be beamed out on Premier Sports 1 - with coverage starting at 4.30pm, kick-off is at 5.15pm.

Handball in the lead up to Celtic's goal, shouldn't have stood

Jota got pushed and the ref never gave a foul. Was in the box early on as well.

Ref missed it as did the entire St Johnstone team

He saw the Rooney forearm smash and plenty of other stuff that he just ignored.

Welsh clearly annoyed at being hooked but then he was also clearly struggling initially and exactly the kind of suspected concussion we need to be taking out of the player's hands for his long-term health. Hope we get the extra subs they have in the EPL assuming we go back to only 3 subs one day?

Wasn’t a great game yesterday. St Johnstone did their best to slow the game down at every chance and defended deep and in numbers. It’s always difficult to break that down, and it’s worked well for them. Made them the most successful team in Scotland last season…

Ref was a bit ropey (spell that one carefully) with some dubious decisions, but at least with the update in the rules the VAR wouldn’t have disallowed our goal for this innocuous handball that some are going on about.

Postecoglu has done well to get us to a final this early in the season considering the start we had. We still struggle when we don’t have all our most creative players available.

Still-really happy with the result and glad I managed to get a ticket for it.
