Mourinho to Everton

I think at a really big club Potter would struggle with the pressure like Moyes did, but with less wrinkles.

Apparently they play good football, fair enough. Maybe with better players that would translate into success but his record at Brighton results wise is about par I reckon.

Potter has had a very interesting career (or I think it is).

I do think he is a bit different.

Different maybe but the way some on here tout him for big jobs you would think he’s worked miracles at Brighton.

His best season so far is 15th with 41 points, the following season he backed it up with 16th 41 points.

This season they started with 4 wins from 5 and you’re thinking maybe now his decent brand of football is being converted into results but they haven’t won in 10 games.

Some people can judge the capability of a coach based on the level of performances of their teams. Others have to look at the results to make their conclusions. Once Man United start doing the former, they’ll stop making shiiiiiiite managerial appointments.

Surely one ties into the other.

Depends on the quality of the players. There’s not always a correlation between performance levels and results. Hence Brighton finishing where they did last season and United finishing where they did.

Not sure what the obsession with Potter is. He’s doing a decent job at Brighton but hardly pulling up threes. They started this season well but they’ve dropped off again.
