One of the most impressive aspects of Sony and Playstation, is the undoubted programming talent they have built up and nurtured over the years.
Always on the lookout to add more quality, they have now seen fit to add Valkyrie Entertainment to their ranks. I must admit I don't know much about this studio, and it sounds like their abilities will be used to help ongoing projects, as opposed to creating their own gaming vision.
But one thing you can be sure of, Valkyrie's programming talent must have burned bright, to catch Sony's attention, and I am sure they will bring plenty to the programming table.

Honestlt... if Microsoft had bought these guys you would be writing a thread about how Microsoft buys no talent little guys.

Talent comes in all sizes. Sony have a long tradition of buying small studios and growing them into something much more. Naughty Dog a perfect example of this.
MS record in studio development is pretty much the exact opposite, buying quality established studios like Rare, and turning them into a shadow of their former selves.
I understand the different philosophies of each company, and it is why I Have such faith in Sony, I don't have that same faith in MS.
MS could learn a lot from Sony, in how to manage and nurture talent.
