So, Arbroath top of the championship at the half way stage
Gayfield where the waves can crash over onto the corner takers, goal kicks can result in corners and the capacity is 814
But at least it's grass
It's not happening, is it?
The unimaginable?

Great memories of stopping there on regular journeys to Aberdeen and getting a ride on the small guage railway on the links.

Very accommodating young ladies up there

Indeed, I probably bumped into zach who'd heard there was a miniature chuff for 3d a go.

They won, but Bon Accord were only a year old so I’m not sure it is an official part of the history? The ref also disallowed 5 goals. Score still a senior world record.
Remarkably, down the road, played on the same day in 1885, Dundee Harp beat Aberdeen Rovers 37-0 but the Harp secretary had only counted 35 and they settled on that not realising the potential significance.
Dundee Harp had money problems and were suspended. A week later a new club called Dundee Hibs were formed. They changed their name back to Dundee Harp a wee while after but they again went bust. They do say history repeats itself?
Before Ivan gets on I should say there was apparently no connection with another Dundee Hibs that formed a few years later and eventually became United.

The old man's mk2 Ford Escort broke down in Arbroath on our way home from a wee family holiday in Montrose many moons ago
Great memories like
Hope they actually get promotion if they win the thing.....was that wee cvnt Roger Mitchell that denied Falkirk there spot in the top league back in the day.....back when Scottish Football thought it was rich

To be somewhat fair to Mitchell he had a vision of excellence, image, customer care and a more franchised model of ‘prove you're serious’. How many clubs would have been content to continue with the open air, weed strewn toilets that passed as facilities had the SPL not tried?
