15.30

Sue Gray's redacted Partygate Report which has been held in police custody is up, come 15.30. So by then we should have an indication of just how bad this could be for Boris.

Tory MPs could collude to detain him longer, even though he is quite likely to re offend or probably just deny everything in it, given his profile.

I suspect he will be retained by the Conservatives upon conditions, whilst omitted details are eventually made available over time by the Met.

Anyone see it going differently?,

There are 359 Conservative MPs. If today's events in the house of commons are anything to go by, there will be enough letters going in to spark a leadership election.

It's not just false, but it's well documented to be an online smear campaign that was initiated by far-right fringe organisations.

(By the way, isn't it curious that you can slander, defame and lie in parliament for political benefit but it's against the rules to call someone a liar? I can see the benefits of keeping things civil but the system only works if politicians and media hold lies to account.)

Disgraceful that this report should be redacted. The full report will likely never be released, which then raises the question, what was the point of it? To waste everyones time until we've all got bored and moved on from PartyGate. After all, whose Greys boss again?

A redacted report should harden everyones resolve to remove these lying scvbags from government

It's right that some of the report be redacted, such as the names of civil servants etc who attended the various parties.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why is it right that we hide their names?

A Dad at my kids nursery is a civil servant for Sunak so it would have been funny if the names of civil servants weren't redacted. He's already looked really nervous since the stories came out.
