Tuchel actually ended up commenting on the whole thing a couple months ago so you could sense the exasperation around the club about it
Great defender in the right system but pretty bad when left exposed and asked to improvise a bit. Be interesting to see how Xavi uses him tbh.

He was POTY of the year for Lamps at Derby
Lamps gave him a go with us
Then suddenly he was out of favour and never played almost without warning

Yeah that is weird. I remember there being some rumours that they’d fallen out but wasn’t sure if there’s any truth in it.
Don’t Chelsea have a buy back for both of them? Guehi looks the better player from what I’ve seen.

Something must've happened. Much as Lampard enjoyed freezing people out I'm fairly certain he gave everyone a 2nd chance except Tomori. And it's not as if he was the biggest fan of Rudiger so too much competition isn't the reason.
Maybe we'll find out one day.
