Who’s this Kamara everyone seems to mention lately on a free? Is he a DM? Was he not worth buying when he wasn’t on a free in years gone by, I’ve never heard of him until this season.

Mentioned him as a potential £30m acquisition last summer. He's been a solid player for Marseille over the years, but his ceiling is lower than someone like Tchouameni and Camavinga IMO.

If he's available on a free, I think we need to take a hard look at him bc he is the anchor player Matic is. Maybe not as good but he's still got room to grow

Kamara was a CB at one point I think. Only recently has he been playing DM but apparently he's a natural there too.

I think we could. I think working with ETH and playing alongside VDB will be attractive. Even when we have failed to qualify for the CL we have made big signings.

I think we could. I think working with ETH and playing alongside VDB will be attractive. Even when we have failed to qualify for the CL we have made big signings.

Don’t really think he wants to leave Barca though and although they’re wanting to make some money this summer I’m not sure they’re forcing him out to the point he’d take a year out the CL.

Hopefully though, as I think it would give ETH a real head start in shaping his side if we had a midfielder or 2 that knows what he expects.

I don't really know how good De Jong is, but I agree that it would help him hit the ground running. He thinks a lot about VDB so I imagine that he is going to make him a regular starter. If he had those 2 at the hear of the team then it would certainly give him a good starting point.

Obviously this is just rumours and more rumours. But in general, it does irritate me that these lazy faackers failing to qualify for the CL is likely to make it harder to get rid of and replace them with quality players.
