Leavers & Remainers

No nothing to do with Brexit (pause for shudder). Just curious how everyone feels about the inevitable clear out in the summer.
Obviously we need to bring in new players to supplement the squad we have but if you were in Bruno's shoes what squad would that be? Who would you keep and who would you move on?
This is my take on it:

José Sa Keep obviously
Jon Ruddy Keep if he agrees to stay
Nelson Semedo Keep
Willy Boly Keep
Conor Coady Keep
Max Kilman Keep
Yerson Mosquera Keep
Tito Gomez Keep
Jonny Otto Keep
Ki-Jana Hoever Keep but needs to improve
Rayan Ait-Nouri Keep but needs to improve
Ruben Neves Keep if at all possible (no chance)
Joao Moutinho Keep if he agrees to stay
Luke Cundle Keep
Pedro Neto Keep
Daniel Podence Keep
Chiquinho Keep
Romain Saiss Surplus to requirements. Time to say goodbye
Marcal Sell on
Leander Dendoncker Sell if decent offer comes in
Morgan Gibbs-White Sell on. His level is Championship where he excels
Hee Chan Hwang Try to get out of loan agreement and get rid
Francisco Trincao Not worth the money being asked for him, send him back
Adama Traore Sell for whatever we can get
Fabio Silva Send out on loan or put in U23 squad
Raul Jimenez Sadly, time for pastures new for Raul. Sell

In considering the leavers and remainers we need to not forget the huge list of players we have out on loan. Don’t think there’s great market value amongst them and I don’t know how many are out of contract this summer.

Pleased to see Cutrone got a game today and scored before being taken off inside the hour mark. But that’s only his 20th goal in the last 4 seasons so we wouldn’t get much for him. His contract is up next year so I suspect he’ll get another loan then leave on a free

He started the season well and saw lots of game time but lately he hasn't had much of a look. Surprised if anyone signed him this summer on a perm unless we were happy to cut losses drastically, like maybe 6-7 million but even then i am not convinced we would get takers.

It's not a frenzy DJ. It's just that you can never admit you are wrong sometimes. You make some valid points which I agree with, but with regard to Jimenez, you have flip flopped. You now agree with Gem that we should sell him and in my opinion he hasn't had a good season at all. He's scored 6 goals which includes a penalty. The interesting fact that we won all 6 games he scored in. How nice in would have been if he could have notched a dozen or so? His goals tally is very poor considering where we are in the league. Plus it's also interesting to note that none of his goals have come from headers.

One of the major faults with all our forwards this season, is that having created chances, they haven't been clinical enough to put them away. Coady has had 4 shots on goal and scored all of them.

Both Saiss and Moutinho have more than repaid us with regard to their fees. 3m and 5m respectfully. I would have no problem keeping them for another year and letting them go on a free. Looks like Saiss all be leaving, but I hope Moutinho gives another year.

No idea what point you are trying and failing to make. Before his injury I thought Jimenez was our best centre forward. After his injury I thought he was our best centre forward. Throughout this season I think he has been our best centre forward. I would play him against Norwich on Sunday because I think he’s our best centre forward. This summer I would like us to replace him with a better centre forward that would score more goals

Before his injury, he scored a few goals. Since his injury, (bar 1 or 2 performances) he's been poor. You're very unkind to Fabio, who I believe will come good. He was thrust into a situation that the club hadn't planned for and as a result has suffered. He has been better than Jimenez in my view and even you have praised him as our best forward in recent games. The kid is only 19 and was not ready to be plunged into one of the best leagues in the world, especially with hardly any first team minutes when he joined us.

The thing I've noticed about Jimenez this season is difficulty he has getting the ball out from under his feet.
His work rate and link up play are as good as ever but he often receives the ball and seems to stumble with it trying to get it under control then a defender takes it off him and he ends up on his @rse
I don't know why this is, perhaps a lack of concentration due to the blow on the head but one thing is for certain, he is not the player he was before his accident.

Jimenez has been much better than Fabio. I still think Rauls demise has been greatly exaggerated. Yeah he isn't what he was of course but he is still a handful. We should be keeping him and bringing in proper competition, not a player Bruno clearly doesn't think is ready.

Still no idea what your point is. I have said I would keep Fabio I have said I would replace Jimenez. You have said you would leave the club to decide who leaves then set out on an argument about who you think should leave

Gossip from Portugal is that Sporting Lisbon could lose their top two midfield players in the summer in Nunos and Palhina with the latter heavily linked with Wolves. Also the case the Sporting is likely to be where Trincao goes on loan from Barca next season. Barca meanwhile still saying they would like to keep Traore but won’t decide until the end of the season. But it would have to be for a lot less than the £29m originally quoted

Seems that AC Milan are willing to pay £10m to sign MGW

Another loanee who could be on the move is Bolla who has had a good season with Grasshoppers. A number of clubs appear to be interested including Rapid Vienna but the fee for him would likely be less than £1m

Why sign Hwang is a question that’s been asked a few times. Maybe the answer now becoming clearer as Wolves announce plans to launch a South Korean language radio station. Part of a plan to cash in commercially I guess but will that recoup enough to pay his transfer fee and wages?
