Best time of year

Well my friends the time is here again and we will witness a truly great event. You get the build up all day, the buzz and excitement.

Some people say that the competition has lost it’s sparkle and is not quite what it was. There is debate whether it should be on before the end of the league season.

But it still has its magic for me, the raw emotion and the drama.

Yes my friends it’s that time of year again, it’s time for Eurovision

There are so many good musicians and good music out there, (some people can even actually read and write music) yet many people who slag off Eurovision tunes as being overtly woke, camp, shallow, 3 minute pop songs, also like simple and crap music themselves, yet believe it to be somehow better, more valid and 'trendy'...when it really isn't.

There is a time and place for most kinds of music and tonight it is the turn of Eurovision in Turin on the telly. Watch it and appreciate it for what it is, (and try and not be too homophobic about it if that annoys you about it).... or do or watch something else instead.

Yep it's that time of the year where you get to see odd looking German blokes performing in front of a huge crowd. That's right, it's the 2022 FA Cup Final.

I won’t actually be watching it. Will be flying home when it’s on FFS. Miss the FA cup final too FFS!

There's nothing like a thread about Eurovision to shine a light on all the homophobes, eh?

I wonder if they realise that statistically homophobes are far more likely to be homosexual themselves? Straight people don't tend to be concerned about homosexuals at all.

Come out of the closet guys. There has never been a better time to do it.

There is a lot of projecting going on here from the usual suspects.

Guys you can be Heterosexual and like Eurovision for what it is - yes it’s as camp as a row of pink tents, it’s also a lot of fun, well choreographed and very inclusive.

With all the schitt going on in the world, imagine being against a fun euro competition (plus the Aussies) that you can have some fun drinking games with and see some good acts- for free

Eurovision

We always tend to have a family get together when Eurovision is on. A few beers, bbq, and good company.
We never put the Eurovision on as it’s carp. This whole perception that you are a homophobe if you don’t like it is laughable.

Read properly. SOME people don't like Eurovision because of it's appeal to the LGBT community.
