Forest v S. United - Match Thread

Sheffield United (H)

These get harder to write the closer we get to a so far elusive play-off final and a possible place in the Premier League.

If we play like we did on Saturday we’d be damn unlucky not to get to the final.

Team news:

Yates was struggling with a shoulder injury, some players looked exhausted, but hopefully, other than Grabban and Lowe, we’ll be at full strength.

I wouldn’t change the starting XI. Or the bench.

Prediction:

I think we’ll win again.

Defensively we’re better, we offer more up front and in the middle...well we weren’t quite perfect)...but as a unit, we were the better team.

2-1 to Forest.

COYRs!!

I think this print your own ticket idea is open to fraud

I dare bet if you printed 2 tickets off and 2 of you went through the turnstiles at the same time and scanned them together it would let you both through....I would try it if I couldn't get a ticket

He’s definitely got some Huddersfield blood in there.

CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY-OFF LOTTERY 2022 (contd)

Monday May 16th 7.45 - Uddersfeel 1 Lutontown 0

Lutontown play football like blind dogs throwing themselves at a wire fence. Uddersfeel just waited until they were coughing blood, then scored from a set piece. It's what they do. Anyway, Udds win 2-1 on aggravate, and go to Wembulee to meet...

Tuesday May 17th 7.45 - Nottm Forest 1 Sheffield Undead 2 (agg 3-3 aet)
Forest win 3-2 on penalties

Never in the field of human endeavour has so much been suffered by so many for so long. Thirty three years. That's how long this match lasted. Thirty three bloody years. Come on, Forest, don't put us through that nightmare again. Still, I wonder if the joy would have been so great and the pitch invasion so crazy if Forest had cruised to, say, a 5-2 victory. I would also remind you that Forest were never behind in the tie, at any point. Well done, my brave red souls. Well done, Brice Samba!

He's a good lad Joe....80 appearances for us and 10 goals....he was just starting his league career with us and has got better as he's matured

Form can be temporary, class is permanent. Joe is class, just going through a confidence crisis, and a few injury concerns. He’ll be back ( I hope !! ).

He’s been a poor version of his old level for 2-3 seasons now.

He at least looks fit now! Just a shame there is no end product.

Heckingbottom sounds like one bitter little man - but at least opposing managers know now that if any Sheff U players ever start timewasting and any of that stuff then it's ok to give them a whack. Respect for Sharp though.
