Fergie, Klopp or Guardiola

Who would you rank these three?. I would go for Klopp, Guardiola then Fergie.

Don’t get me wrong Fergie was a good manager but he had a lot of advantages and lucky moments.

1) had a squad full of golden boys. The likes of Becks/Neville’s/ Scholes/ Giggs etc. This rarely happens

2) lucky to have had the richest club with no close competition

3) disappointed in Europe. Won 2 CL’s but one fluke last minute equaliser and the other one a JT slip.

4) embarrassed multiple times in Europe by likes of Barca, Basel, Madrid

5) as soon as Jose came to Chelsea he was outclassed.

6) tactically he was very weak. Same formation everytime

Fergie
Pep
Mourinho

Klopp is in the same league as Ranieri until he wins another PL
----------------------------------------------------------------------
More nonsense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair, I think a lot of people would rank the four in that order (without the Ranieri-related part).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Ranieri more tongue in cheek, the point being he needs to win more league titles to be in that league
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has won 3 against the odds from where he started with Dortmund and Liverpool. I’ll admit I didn’t give him a prayer of winning the league with Liverpool.

I’m not sure Pep or Mourinho have ever won a league against the odds.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Porto 02/3 inter 07/8 and you could make a case for Chelsea 14/15
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was referring to league wins tbf. I wouldn’t say any title win at Inter was against the odds with Juve relegated. I don’t think 14/15 was massively against the odds either.

I asked my girlfriend “How she wanted ssex?”
She replied
“Like Liverpool please…On top for the majority but coming second!”

Terrible joke but Klopp wants to avoid becoming New Revie

For me,the major difference is that these guys, Pep and Klopp are doing this at different clubs in different leagues. It's easier when your at the top of the tree, in your comfort zone (PL) all the time, and you can generally buy the best player in your rivals teams, which weakens them and strengthens you on a yearly basis. I would have liked to see Fergie go to Barca, Madrid or Bayern too, to see if he can replicate what he done here in other leagues...(i'm not counting the Scottish league, dead league).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair to SAF, the Scottish Premier Division was a two team league: Celtic and Rangers had won the previous 15 titles before SAF took Aberdeen to their second ever league title (their first was in the early ‘50s) in his second season in charge.

Then he won it twice more in the next few seasons, whilst also winning the Scottish Cup *four times* in six seasons, the Scottish League Cup, the European Cup Winners’ Cup and the European Super Cup.

Since SAF’s three Scottish league titles, no club other than Rangers or Celtic has taken the title.

The CWC win saw Aberdeen beat Bayern and Real Madrid, and Hamburg (who were dominating the Bundesliga at the time) in the Super Cup. They got to the semi finals of the CWC the following year.

Aberdeen are still the last club from Scotland to have won a European trophy, and courtesy of SAF are the only club from Scotland to have won two European trophies.

What he achieved there was nothing short of phenomenal.

Stop talking sense. You're on the wrong thread.

United fans get really tetchy and defensive if you don't only wax lyrical about Fergie. Even GOATS have some blemishes in their careers. Its never perfect. The criticism of Fergie doesn't mean he isn't the GOAT. Relax children

I wouldn’t say we get tetchy. We just point out stupidity.

Only team to win the league 3 times on the bounce in the PL era. We did it twice.
