PSG are a facking disgrace the way they treat managers, and its the reason why they have never won the CL, they dont give them enough time. Poch is better off out of it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Didn't you sack a manager last season after about 3 months?

Always be grateful to Poch for providing the greatest team and moments in our recent history. I’ve never been prouder to support my club than under his stewardship

I will never understand sandys weird hate for the man
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't hate him at all. I have never met him, so silly accusation to make. I do however think he was overrated by our fanbase, and whilst decent, is not top drawer, and was able to manage Spurs with no real pressure applied to him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I disagree. I think he had a lot of pressure. Dealing with the transition to the new stadium and the delays and distractions it caused must have been a nightmare. Plus having a restricted transfer budget to deal with. I think he handled it all well but he was clearly burnt out post the CL final. We'll never know if he could have taken us to a trophy. I suspect he would have done. But we went with Jose and some people seem to think that was an improvement

I am not a vindictive man mate. I merely posted the article because he was an ex Spurs manager, and thought it may be of interest to some on the board.

To be fair Billy, Nuno got the sack after just a few games, and Jose was not given that much time.

It`s a myth he had nothing to spend. Some of Spurs most expensive flops were purchased by Poch. He made some awful purchases.

He only began to spent money when he consistently had us qualifying for the CL every year. Before that, we hardly spent a penny. Even then, of the CL clubs in the Premier League we were by far the most frugal. In fact Arsenal have still out-spent us despite not qualifying for the CL for years. Poch had to work on a budget for his entire tenure. It was only the purchases of Lo Celso and Ndombele that broke that trend. Before that, our highest was Sanchez. Now, I admit those three were disasters but he's not head of recruitment, he's first team coach. He would have been consulted, offered a list of players and I can guarantee all three of them would have been further down the list in terms of his approval. We wanted Fernandes but went for the cheaper option in Lo Celso. It's more to do with club policy pushing Poch into a corner financially than him saying "I absolutely must have x player". There's no way he's been offered better players and deliberately plumped for the worse option. It's all the club would stretch to.

Beyond those three, how many expensive flops can you name under his tenure? What made him a great manager was being able to take the players he inherited and turning them all into much better players. He elevated everyone's game. That was his job and he did it brilliantly. He's not head of recruitment Sandy. You're just beating him once again with the wrong stick.

So basically you are saying any player purchased under Poch was nothing to do with him. What a load of nonsense.

He was first team coach, not manager. Of course he would have been consulted but it was the club (Hitchen and co and the time I guess?) who scouted and sourced the players. The fact he barely played Ndombele probably tells you all you need to know about what he thought of him. Maybe he saw something that no one else could! No one is saying he is blameless but to single him out is quite odd.

Not having that mate. He had plenty of control over ins and outs. And he presided over some awful buys.
