Gul accuses England of ball tampering

England's one-day captain Alastair Cook has rubbished claims by Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul that James Anderson and Stuart Broad were involved in ball tampering. Cook said if Gul did have any concerns he should have gone through the proper channels.

What an idiot. Has he been taking lessons from Ijaz Butt?

Know-it-all, agreed. Paks just dont score quick enough
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
i could not disagree more. pakistan have too many stroke makers and not enough who knuckle down and build an innings. think about the players that have done well over the past few years, inzamam ul huq, mohammed yousuf, younis khan, they are knuckle-downers not stroke makers.

the beauty of test cricket is that it is not so important how quickly you score (it is not irrelevant by any means), but that you score big. pakistan need some more younis khans, some more mohammed yousufs if they are to succeed, not more misbahs.

Afridi, there's an expression that says 'what happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object'.
When England's bowlers get stuck into your batting it will be a case of 'the irresistible force removing the moveable objects'.

We'll see...... One thing at a time though ehh.... Beat India first, many of their bloggers/experts/analyists reckon your going to be the "moveable objects" come the next few weeks.....

Hope your bowlers still have alot to prove in hot sub cont conditions.

Anderson can't hack it on pitches that don't swing,
Broad is now supposedly world class after a half decent series against India,
Bresnan still unproven,
Tremlett won't get much purchase in Dubai
England don't have a decent 2nd spinner.

Afridi, you're back on the ODI cricket again, which is the only format teams from the sub continent have any aptitude for. Must be that they suffer from a short attention span.

I see you've brought in much needed reinforcements Afridi.

Hope, i think the comment of the day goes to you mate regarding bresnan, broad, tremmers and andersons abillity to reverse swing the ball at will....... Brilliant....

Typical of a loser Afridi, you laugh at a mis- quotation.

Our attack is FAR BETTER than yours though.
Gul is below average in Tests.Riz unproven. No decent 2nd spinner. No 3rd seamer either.Tanvir Ahmed looked good but you guys dropped him.

That statement sums up your cricket knowledge. No pitch swings.Swing depends on the atmospheric conditions. The pitch offers seam movement not swing.

The Australian conditions are not conducive to swing bowling. And Jimmy averaged 26 over there something which your bowlers cant even dream of.
