Sol Campbell?

Always thought he was class as a kid, they used to batter City all the time but you couldn’t help but be in awe of the way they played football.

Had a look at that earlier, the only two I’d go for for definite would be Cole and Henry. The rest, I’d change my mind about constantly!

The best PL XI has changed dramatically since Pep and Klopp came in tbh. Although Silva, Kompany and Aguero were already class, the sheer dominance of City since has bought in so much more potential City players to consider. With Liverpool, TAA, Salah and VVD especially have been as good as any in their positions.

Even GK which was a coin toss between Cech and Schmeichel, now you have to consider Edison and Alison. Albeit those two are different types of goalies, they are every bit as important and good as the former two were.

I’d probably go for:
Edison
Neville-Terry-VVD-Cole
Scholes Vieira Keane
Salah Henry Ronaldo

Can easily swap out Neville for TAA, but Neville edges it mainly due to the longevity and how many leagues titles he won. TAA is still very young, so massive credit that he’s even in contention.

Midfield, Silva, KdB, Gerard, Lampard, Fernandinho, Essien, Fabregas all have a chance but those three can’t be bullied at all.

Front three, you can’t drop Ronaldo and Henry. Possibly the top 2 best PL players of all time. That then leaves Salah, but again can easily put Henry out on the wing and Shearer/Aguero in the middle. Or stick Rooney out in the wing.

Like this team. Couple of tweaks for me would be schmeical in goal, id probs put rio in front of vvd just now purely based off longevitiy and what he achieved. Id have stevie g in for keane and shearer in for salah. Shearer through middle with henry and ronaldo either side.
