Airbus A380

by Never Mind the Defending: Here’s Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool (U3979)

In today's off topic article...

What do you guys think is the greatest feat of engineering in recent history?

For me, one that stands out (as a bit of an AV geek) is the Airbus A380, the fact that thing can fly utterly astounds me. The Airbus Beluga is another one (and the Boeing Dreamlifter) but what is basically a massive double decker bus flying 8,000 miles with hundreds of people on board in supreme comfort - relatively - just makes it awesome for me.

Your thoughts?

Out here in the desert we stockpile loads of planes, it is kinda cool to pass a remote airport and see lines of virgin, american etc etc lined up moth balled. Also a military airport outside of Tucson with hundreds lined up.
