Our defence is not very good. Unbelievable really that Dier and Davies are now considered regulars. Squad players I could live with, but not first team material if Spurs are to be serious about challenging for trophies.

If there's one thing that drives me mad it's floated little balls out when we are crowded in at the corner flag.

Just boot the fackin thing and even if it gives them possession at least everybody has the chance to get back into position. The build up to their second goal is a great example of this, had we just cleared the ball down field then James wouldn't have had the freedom of the park.

Conte blamed changing the formation as some of the players were in the wrong position, which that led to the 2nd goal. Which explains why the defence was all over the place and they had so much space to score.

Romero is very good but will soon get a reputation that will lead to card troubles.
Dier is our best defender.
Davies has no business being on the pitch.
Doherty was much improved last season, and then got injured. Will he be worth a place?
Royal played well today. Could he improve under Conte?
Sanchez is not good enough, period.
Lenglet was bought to improve our defence. So far he's out of action with "fatigue"! There are grave doubts about this guy.

Today (or yesterday) we were overrun for long periods by Chelsea....they are a top tream, I have to admit.
But the good thing I take from the match was that Richarlison, Perisic, and Bissouma changed the whole standing of the two teams, and made us much more competitive. They have to become starters.
