Glazers to sell?

There seem to be a lot of murmurings on social media about the Glazers finally wanting to sell the club. Do we think there’s anything in it, or is it merely a diversionary tactic from the Glazers, to take the heat off our failures in the transfer market?

It’s the hope that kills you.

Can we just park the pain and hope for a win Monday night ?

The amount of money opportunities in football, they will probably never sell up.... as long as they can afford the mortgage.

“Who could buy us?”

I don’t know how many times this needs to be addressed on here, but the answer is *anyone* who could persuade a combination of financial institutions and investors to loan and invest funds.

It doesn’t need to be one of the handful of individuals with the cash to make an outright purchase. The Glazers spent next to nothing of their own money to buy United.

There's a NY investment fund apparently interested. Wouldn't be shocked if we had Chinese / Far East interest either given how popular we are over.

They will go soon enough. The club is falling apart.

The Glazers won’t sell. They are businessmen sitting on an asset that provides them with multi-million dollar annual dividends without any capital risk. Would you sell?

When they do eventually sell it will be because the club has nothing left to give, in my opinion.

Yea, but selling a small amount of equity is pretty typical when a share price goes up. Would be interested to see if they’ve rebought shares at any point.

Plus they like having an asset they can borrow against, as well as avoid paying tax due to the debt.
