If you get a proper forward who can hit around the 30 mark in the league, and if Rashford can produce good numbers again too, that’s title challenge land. You’ll need to get a keeper who fits the system too though.

Don’t think there’s a lot of options from the bench though, so can’t see you competing for both PL and CL next season as one window probably isn’t enough time to fix everything. I’m sure most United fans would see getting closer to the league or a decent European campaign next year as good progress. All about getting the next couple of summer windows right though, and your track record is patchy, putting it kindly!

Even Rashford didn't really meet what should have been expected of him this season. He had a decent season but here I was thinking he was finally going to get over 20 league goals and maybe keep that consistency he had earlier on going into the business end of the season. Instead he had a very good few months where he was virtually unplayable, then went off the boil.

Our top scorer in the league managed 16 goals, just not the level we need if we’re to compete. Haaland scored more than double Rashford managed, and that was probably his best season to date.

16 league goals from your left forward/winger is actually excellent. What we obviously lack is another player or two getting those numbers from the other attacking positions.

If Rashford can hit 16 league goals for the next couple of seasons, with someone like Kane adding another 20 from the CF position (+plus goals from the likes of Bruno, Antony, and any other player we bring in to boost the attacking options), we should be fine in that department.

I’d be interested to know how many came from the LW position, his best goal scoring form was when he played up front.

If only eh? Not sure we will see Mason again in a Utd shirt and if not then you can't really grumble.

With likes of Garnacho and Amad to back these up we'd be well equipped to challenge again.

We all know he's not a striker and it's not his best position, so it's redundant really. Even several of his goals where he was technically playing up front came from work on & off the ball in the left channel.

Rashford just isnt good enough to be the main source of goals.

A top CF (2 if Greenwood is out) is an absolute must this Summer.
