Our Boy Wonder

Our young super tennising hero has only gone and won 2 more trophies this weekend.

He gave that nasty piece of work, Nadal a1 set lead, then drew level and then bageled him, and did it with plenty of grace, style and beauty, as usual.

And now he has teamed up with his brother and only gone and won the doubles as well.

But hey, why give the lad credit when we can moan about his demeanour, his hair, his t shirts, the colour of his underpants? Incase you have not noticed, all of these players behave terribly when they are losing.

Long Live the King of British tennis, that is Andy Murray, who also is a top fella in my eyes.

PLANK,

You need a lesson in tennis so here goes. The only reason Andy hasn't won a slam is because of those standing in his way. You don't seem to grasp the sheer quality and quantity.

Roger Federer has stood in his way and Fed is widely as the greatest player of all-time and has won the most slams in tennis history.

Rafael Nadal is another to stand in his way and already has won ten slams and was tipped by many to surpass Federer's achievements and become the greatest of all-time himself and although that looks less likely now he is still one of the all-time greats.

Novak Djokovic has been dominant this year winning three slams and has been virtually unbeatable in the sport this year (Andy is one of only two people to beat him this year) and is already a multiple slam winner.

Andy has had the task of facing these players in his slam finals whereas Federer, Nadal and Djokovic all got off the mark in slams against far easier opponents. Comprehende now PLANK?

Murray can beat Nadal any tournament he want but when it comes to grand slams he has no chance whatsoever. Infact its not that he plays bad in grand slams but he simply chokes.

Nonsense SuperTn. Murray has beaten Nadal in slams before and will beat him again as time will tell.

CaledonianCraig are you a salesman by any chance??
Sheer quality and quantity he can win, he has won but Nadal is another to stand in his way in majors but Andy has beat Nadal in slams before and will beat him again as time will tell!!!
Yep I comprehende now, he can win slams but when it comes to majors people stand in his way.
Thanks

No not just people. In tennis terms legends stand in his way whereas when Fed, Nadal and Djokovic chalked up their first slam wins it was against 'people' such as Marc Philipoussis (for Fed in 2003), Mariano Puerta (for Nadal in 2005) and Jo-Wilifried Tsonga (for Djokovic in 2008). Murray may or may not win a slam but if he misses out he will go down as the best player of his generation not to have won a slam and missing out to legends is not something his detractors can crow about in any case.
