Decent workout yesterday before the

main event next Thursday, the match against AZ Alkmaar, the most important match of the season thus far.

Game of two halves, not so good first half, pretty good second half, and once again the younsters showed immense promise. Gray, Bergvall and Spence when he came on, all played well. Tel not at the races, nor Johnson. Werner booed when he came on. What`s that all about, Disgusting behaviour from so called supporters, booing one of their own players. Absolutely no need for that.

Nice seven days rest now. AZ have two games to play in those seven days, a cup semi final this evening, and a league game on Sunday, so Spurs will definitely have the fresher players, and hopefully can add Romero, Micky, Solanke and Richarlison to the squad, come next Thursday.

Looking forward to that game so much, the first of the tie. Expect Spurs to do well overall in the tie and progress to the QFinals, and be in the hunt for their first trophy since 2008.

Ange`s tactics leave us wide open against everybody, hence the inconsistency, my prediction is the first decent side with a tactically astute manager that we come up against in the Europa, and we will come unstuck.

I hope I am completely wrong of course, but when the going gets tough we don`t have the minerals or know how.

With a fully fit squad, Spurs will not have the same issues.

I am still astonished that supporters cannot see the unprecedented injury crisis has played a major part in the season. Even now Spurs are still playing without their two main CBs and two main strikers. Name me another Prem side that is playing under those circumstances.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fully get and appreciate the injury crisis and yes it has hampered us big time. Better players on the pitch defo help and there's no questioning that.

The issue is Ange will be resort back to his full on attack no defence mode when all are back. We will then see the return to results of good wins, lucky wins, ... 4-0, 4-3 etc but we will lose many games too.

He's already on record saying he does not coach defending or pragmatic play, caution... call it what you want and if we win that way it's not a win for him.
and to that there will be no progression without a plan on the pitch, that's my fear and issue.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course Spurs will lose games, even with a fully fit squad. As far as I know all teams, however good they are still lose matches. But with all the best players starting, they won't lose to many.

Yes all teams lose games but with Ange we will lose games we should not and it will be hit and miss that's not consistency that's a guarantee. We will also continue to pick up hamstring injuries which have been a consistent injury sustained with players missing this season.

If your happy with that it's fine but I certainly am not.

Therefore if we have any ambition in being a real force in the league/or cups it's not possible under the gung ho style we will play.

You sound like Ange's spin doctor. You honestly make it sound like being 13th in the league and out of both domestic cups was part of some overall masterplan to conquer Europe, when in actual fact it's nothing of the sort. We're just a bit shiiiit and having so little to play for this early in the season is a product of that. The law of averages suggests that having been terrible across the board this year, it will also catch us out in Europe.

I'm all for a bit of positivity but I have to be honest, your post-match debriefs are just lengthy, nauseating batches of twaddle to allow any failing to face the sunshine. There's positivity and then there's delusion.

And don't tell me the 'Ange In, Levy in' part isn't baiting.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Let me know how many games Pochettino would have won if Lloris, Toby, Vertonghen, Dembele and Kane were all missing for months at a time.

Ange is not a miracle worker, although you seem to think he should be.

😂 I always love it when you respond to my comment twice in succession. It means you’re steaming about something. It’s proof I’ve got under your skin, or perhaps, that I’m telling the truth and you don’t like it.

I’m in your head Sandy. 😂

If we can play this team, for the rest of the Europa League knockout stages :

Vicario

Spence
Danso
VDV
Udogie

Bentancur
Bergvall
Maddison

Son
Solanke
Deki

We will have a good chance of winning it…

If we play Johnson & Porro down the right flank together, we could be in trouble!

I agree about booing Werner, unless one of them does something absolutely horrendous, individual players should never be booed. For all his faults, his effort is not lacking and he gives his all. He's just got no end product. It's not his fault we signed him when we shouldn't have..

Yeh that would be my starting XI. Also would be a very strong bench. I doubt there are any teams left in the Europa with such a strong squad.

The bigger problem is should Ange manage to pull out a miracle and win the Europa he will still be in charge next season and we will have the exact same issues …. No coaching, no plan, no tactics etc.

How do we all feel about that?

I 100% want us to win it but not really convinced about Ange staying and feel we will back seeing much the same shat next season if he does.

'i always win something in my second season"
and
"I always get booted out in my third season"
Can both be true? ........
