All eyes on FSG

(Live the life of a boss player)

Our owners are definitely going to have to manage our club effectively this summer and one wrong move and we could end up in mediocrity and a potential downward spiral.

The main issues this season have been;

Contract issues for Salah, VVD and TAA.
Jota and Nunez being unreliable
Salah insisting to play every minute of every of every game like he's in his early 20's and always gets burned out late season as a consequence.

This is going to be a huge summer for the club, probably the hugest since FSG have been in charge.

Fabrizio reckons it's going to be a big summer, that were going to be in for Isak, and apparently he's going to reveal more in the coming days.

I’ve also read both us and Arsenal are going big

Well since we've spent next to nothing for a few seasons, now is the logical time

Sorry to burst the bubble here but I am pretty confident that we are going to have a disappointing summer.

Recently, the Boston Red Sox were trying to land a player on a $700m contract…and of course trying to close the gap between them and the NY Yankees who won the division and made the World Series last year.

They may not have taken a penny out of Liverpool for their other sports franchises, but IMO it’s almost criminal in the way they’ve handled our big name players and their contracts.

They know we need reinforcements and I think they’re going to drag this out until after the Red Sox get their season going before bringing anyone in.

You’re not bursting any bubbles, you just have no idea what you’re talking about.

Liverpool arent the priority. Boston is.

FSG will throw millions into their baseball team before they will do it for Liverpool. That’s why they’re trying to fix it so that Liverpool can fund itself so the owners don’t need to invest a penny - so that it doesn’t take anything away from their stupid baseball team.

You’re either deluded or lying to yourself if you think itherwise.

Their aim from day 1 is to have us supporting ourselves, so I’ve no idea why you’re going on as if it’s some big reveal. What happens at Liverpool has absolutely zero correlation with what happens with the Red Sox.

Baseball clubs turn a big profit even without success. PL football clubs do not. What they do at a baseball club which they’re highly involved in, since it’s a sport they know has no relevance to what happens at a football club that they’ve stepped back from and employed football people to manage.

agree with the OP.
We have a chance, with the right investments, to grow and make a real statement on the trophy front.
City and chelsea and spurs transitioning. Utd really struggling to get it right.
if we get the right people to move fwd as a squad......

we all want the three amigos to sign up again. we shall see.
personally, i dont mind trent going. great player on his day and has definitely improved defensively with Slots tactics. Just can be a liability.
aside from them staying or replacements, id like to see:
a 4th CB . Bless Joe G, great player when fit and up to speed. Just rarely happens. id like to see Jorrel Hato arrive. 19 and can be CB or Lb. really promising player
young Lb. keep robbo as first choice. allowing newbie to adapt. i have been impressed by the chap from bournemouth: kerkez . like robbo 7 years ago

A back up DM. endo isnt trusted. jones isnt suited. i dont have a suggestion for this one

we all know we need a proper, top notch no9. i think darwin will stay. but he needs a whole preseason under slot to, hopefully, improve his consistency. but he will be a backup. i think Jota, like gomez, maybe too injury prone.
So , CB,Lb DM and CF for me pls. without losing the 3 contract rebels

I'd be shocked if Nunez is still here in September. Especially if Saudi revisit him as it sounds like they will.

I change my mind often as who would be the back up striker...

At least with Nunez he would be available, with Jota he could be out for at least 50% of the season...
