£100M a season.
They've set the new benchmark.
City £1B Puma sponsor deal over 10 years

In the last shirt sales table I looked at City were 10th with less than a third of the sales of Clubs like United and Real Madrid so nothing suspicious here it looks a completely viable sponsorship.

It was widely reported in the marketing press earlier this year that Puma are responding to falling market share with a significantly increased ad budget for the year ahead.
It’s a brave but smart move imo and this sponsorship is one of many big investments they’re making.
Puma is a listed company, so I’m not sure these conspiracy theories ring true.

Yeah, how do they do it? Crazy.

According to PUMA's latest financial reports the company's current revenue (TTM ) is €8.10 Billion. In 2024 the company made a revenue of €8.81 Billion an increase over the revenue in the year 2023 that were of €8.60 Billion. 100£ is peanuts

Now I think we can see why our ownership have not yet pushed the button on a sponsor
I dont know what deal they will land, but it will be substantial over a 5-10 year period

Most companies spend about 5-7% of revenue on marketing. So Puma have about $400-600m to spend annually. $130m is a big chunk for one activity but does give them global exposure.

From what I read, Puma spend about four times that
Marketing budgets will vary massively but Puma are known to have increased theirs.
Comparing it to the lifetime value of the deal is hilarious.

They aren’t just paying for marketing though are they for a start?
Those figures are way out for them anyway.
There’s some very odd mental gymnastics going on on this thread.
