BBC: Kulusevski is back

Seems like a huge boost, cautious approach from de Zerbi understandably. Hope we see some of him in pre-season...

What has happened to Kulusevski? - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/videos/cvgv8x3rl8ko

Where does he fit ?

100% a contradiction in terms but lets not rush him back sooner than is necessary.

Let hope we see him this Saturday

Be like a new signing

Seriously though, i have almost forgotten what he looks like, how he plays. His last season he had a stellar first half and was amazing from a CM position before being run into the ground, going big time off the boil, looking exhausted and eventually injured by an unlucky collision (not fatigue related).

He suffered cartilage damage I read. No blood supply to cartilage making it very challenging to heal. Without effective cartilage the upper and lower legs bones grind together behind the patella which is very painful and inflammatory and reduces the function of the joint. Pro footballers put their knees under insane amounts of pressure due to the mechanical requirements of the sport, if your knee swells up and leaves you in bits just from running a few km or a bit of shooting practice then your career is in serious trouble - think Paul McGrath or Ledley King. I really like Kulusevski, hope he’s genuinely past this and it isn’t a chronic issue that will keep breaking down because if we can get him back as he was he’s a top player in a position we are lacking in.

its odd how they have never really releases what the issue actually is.

Probably because it's career threatening.

2 years left on his contract. Could be make or break season for the 26 year old

Some training footage of both kudas and kulu.

It's not will the wider group but both looking good.

One more step on the road to recovery for Deki and Mo 💪 https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/#blaze/moment/6a735624bc77c32a132f0a27

He had surgery to repair his patella which got damaged in a tackle with Guehi, then had more surgery to remove fragments etc

Looks like he's limping?

He's happy though so that's a good sign. Let's hope it lasts.

Personally I'm not optimistic about him being able to continue playing in the prem, but wish him the very best of luck, and would be great for us if he can.
