Good morning Newcastle United fans. Upon reading an article on the BBC website on Alan Pardew and remembering the initial feeling amongst Newcastle United fans, when he was first appointed, I thought I would try to get the feelings of you, at this moment in time.
I remember when he was first appointed there were many Newcastle United fans against his appointment. Now Newcastle are a club who I really like, who I feel are a lot like my own club. I like to see them do well and I am always interested in their results.
So taking your great start into consideration, losing key players, two unfortunately to my club, are you now happy with the work Pardew is doing and do you feel your club is going in the right direction again?
Regardless, best of luck for the season ahead.

Pardew wasnt a popular choice because we loved Chris Hughton. Pardew had a difficult job, getting the players and fans on side. We have had a good start to season and a lot of fans are happy. If you want to talk to Mags go on not606, that's were we have all gone.

I'll be staying away from not606, thanks. A disgrace of a place. I'm glad you all found a place after 606 however. Well at least I got a couple of opinions.
7th would be a great achievement for you, especially if that nicked you a Europa place.

Well to be honest. Unless we start playing really badly, I don't think there are many teams apart from the top 6 who could come above us.. Stoke?

I kinda don't want us to get Europa league. As although it would mean we wouldn't sell all our players, it might be our downfall in the league.. Our squad isn't big enough..

I disagree. i think you need to take it to the next level or you're just stuck in that limbo position where teams just sit willingly mid-table without doing anything special. you need to get Europa, keep your best players, then sign a better standard of player. These standard of players, want to be playing in Europe. Also if you do well there is significant rewards, financially and commercially.

I agree entirely, if we CAN get into Europe, do it. We're starting to get some strength in depth (except in defence and up front).
If we end up getting knocked out in the groups then that's fine. At least it'll have meant that we've (probably) kept Cabaye, Tiote, HBA, Coloccini, etc.
We have the quality for Europe, if we just back it up with quality reserves then we might just surprise a few people if we did get in
