Just read this sad news, thoughts with his family, RIP Dan.

Was watching it live, an absolutely horrible crash, 220mph upside-down into a concrete wall. Looked bad at the time but didn't think he'd die from it.

RIP Dan Wheldon. An horrific shunt, I think the biggest suprise is there was just the one fatality. Do you think an incident like this will cause any altering to car safety or track safety? It just seems too easy for a serious accident. SO many cars running that close together at 200 plus mph. Very brave individuals.

I was watching it live and it was like a film, it seemed to crazy for real life.

I have never seen an accident like that and as has been said above its a miracle no one else was killed.

They were 9 year old cars which were racing for the last time yesterday.... lets hope the new ones have a few more safety features.
